Marina opened in 2012 as part of the renovation and extension of the old fishing port. It has now a capacity of more than 800 boats, with a depth of up to 20 m. The visit was provided by PhD Students of ICH Cantabria. The institute was involved in several studies regarding the hydrodynamics around the new port, which contains 66-ton high-density-concrete blocks that serve as wave breakers.
